Read, check and apply online - follow our three steps to making
an application to increase your chances of success.

Sport England is focused on three outcomes - to grow and sustain
participation and to create opportunities for people to excel at
their chosen sport. All funding applications should support at
least one of these outcomes.

Sport England will only invest in recognised sports. Make sure
the sport you want funding for is in this list before starting work
on your application.

All four sports councils and UK Sport work together to agree
which sports they do and don't recognise

Information about other organisations that may be able to to
invest in your project.

Introduction
Sport England is committed to the creation of a
world-leading community sport system. This means focusing our
investment on organisations and projects that will grow and sustain
participation in grassroots sport and create opportunities for
people to excel at their chosen sport.
In addition to our investment in key partners to
deliver specific objectives, we are launching funding programmes
open to a wide range of organisations. These include sports clubs,
voluntary or community organisations, local authorities, schools,
colleges and universities.
The funding programmes are:
Sport England also administers the Free
Swimming Capital Modernisation Programme on behalf of
Government. Funding is available for improvements to publicly
accessible swimming pools in local authority or maintained school
ownership.
